Monocle was created in 1991 as a nom de guerre for a variety of activities, ranging from sailing to horology with a little bit of music and computer support thrown in for good measure.

Over the years the emphasis may have changed a little and the core activity now seems to center on sailing and website design and management.

We started the new year with a splash by increasing the lenght of 'Monocle' by 5 feet and adding another hull. We have in fact moved from a 33 foot mono-hull to a 38 foot multi-hull. On Saturday 25th June 2011 we took part in the 'Round the Island Race' and finished 5th in our class.
