Monocle was created in 1991 as a nom de guerre for a variety of activities, ranging from sailing to horology with a little bit of music and computer support thrown in for good measure.

Over the years the emphasis may have changed a little and the core activity now seems to center on sailing and web services.

We would like to thank all those who donated so generously towards our Round the Island Race Challenge this year. Our chosen charity was Greenwich & Bexley Cottage Hospice.
